The Bea Fisher Centre Inc. is in need of a Direct Care Worker Our candidate must be service orientated, flexible, resourceful, patient, and creative. Experience working with people with various disabilities, including challenging behaviours, would be considered an asset. This position’s primary duties include direct care, participation in group activities is a must, administration duties, shift work and life skills
Disabilities Studies/Rehabilitation Practitioner - Diploma preferred (equivalencies considered)
Behaviour Management experience an asset.
Valid First Aid/CPR certificate required.
Valid Class 5 Drivers License and vehicle required.
Knowledge, Abilities & Skills Required
Personal care responsibilities required.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong administration, organization and communication skills.
Confidence/ patience to work around individuals that are non-verbal and learn their ways of communication
Follow all necessary programming as written
Able to work with several different behaviours
