by pooling funds together, people can be part of something much bigger. Here are some projects and purchases we have taken on in the past or plan to take on when funds become available:
• Kitchen remodel • Upgrade wheelchair accessible van • Renovate a portion of a 24 hour care home to suit the needs of our individuals • Technology upgrades • Renovate an entire suite • Install a chair lift • Replace appliances in a home • Reshingle a roof • Pour a concrete driveway • Build a garage for our wheel chair accessible vans • Facility improvements to make them more wheelchair accessible

Fundraising opportunities are a great way for the Bea Fisher Foundation to bring our community together while giving us a platform to advocate for those we provide support to. Extra help in organizing and executing is always amazing.

Current Projects & Events

In 2019 the Bea Fisher Foundation launched a multi year campaign aimed at raising $250,000 for a wide range of improvements and upgrades at our network of care homes. That year’s annual Color Run, cash raffles, New Year’s Eve gala and partnerships with local businesses got us off to a great start and allowed us to take on over $100,000 in projects, ranging from reshingling homes and rebuilding decks to renovating an entire suite. And then came COVID…

While the needs haven’t changed, the way we raise funds has. We’re adjusting our fundraising activities to meet COVID guidelines. There’s still many projects and upgrades left to complete and every dollar donated makes a difference in improving the lives of those we are so privileged to provide support to.
